Gohan and Krillin are amazed at Goku's new abilities. Vegeta kills Burter and then Recoome, despite Goku's objections. Vegeta chastise Goku for being too soft. He tells Goku that that attitude won't cut it in the fight against Frieza..who has the Dragon Balls and is likely immortal. Krillin doubts it and mentions the atmospheric changes when summoning the Dragon.
Chi Chi deduces that the Namekian Dragon Balls are Password protected.
Jeice returns to Frieza's Ship and tells Captain Ginyu what has happened. Ginyu has Frieza's men bury the dragon balls then sets out with Jeice towards Goku. Krillin and Gohan sence that Frieza is heading towards Grand Elder,Guru in order to obtain the password to summon the Namekian Dragon.
Vegeta sences Captain Ginyu and Jeice approaching and realizes that Frieza's ship is unguarded. Ginyu and Jeice arrive to battle Goku. Goku tells Chi Chi, Krillin and Gohan to get the Dragon Radar and find the Dragon Balls. Goku recruits Vegeta to help him. However, Vegeta tricks him and flies away.
Goku now fights alone.
Goku and Captain Ginyu fight, and after a while Ginyu demand Goku to release his true power. Goku abides and begins to power up via the Kaio-ken. Using the mighty Kaio-ken technique, Goku powers up to his maximum level - which is far greater than Ginyu expected.
The captain can do nothing but gawk at his more powerful opponent. Meanwhile,at the Grand Elder's House,Guru unlocks Dende's hidden powers and sends him off to meet the Earthlings - the Elder has realized the Earth warriors do not know how to use the Namekian dragon balls,and will need Dende's help. Frieza arrives and after making threats, Nail challanes him to battle (to stall for time).
While Frieza is clearly the stronger of the two, he is surprised at Nail's ability to regenerate lost limbs. Gohan, Chi Chi, and Krillin rescue Bulma (still barefoot) from a dinosaur attack. Bulma and Chi Chi greet each other. Gohan takes the dragon radar to find Frieza's Dragon Balls.
Bulma demands a foot massage from the boys after all of this is over - it's the least they should do for leaving her alone. Krillin agrees to this and the trio leave to search for the dragon balls. Meanwhile, Ginyu wounds himself and swaps Bodies with Goku.
Vegeta arrives at Frieza's ship, and after killing some grunts, he outfits himself with a new battle armor (actually mk.1 freiza force armor,so it's not new) and decides to let the Earthlings find and activate the Dragon Balls for him.
Goku is now trapped in Ginyu's wounded body. Chi Chi, Krillin and Gohan arrive at Frieza's ship and dig up the Dragon Balls.
Ginyu, in Goku's body, and Jeice arrive back at the ship. He has Krillin Fooled for a moment, but not Chi Chi and Gohan. Goku, in Ginyu's Body, arrives and informs his friends about Ginyu's trick.
This Freaks out Gohan and Chi Chi the most.
Ginyu tries to power up, but his level is only 23,000, far less than the 180,000 level Goku had before the body switch. Realizing that the Soul and Body are incompatible, Goku shouts to Krillin, Chi Chi, and Gohan that they can easily defeat Ginyu.
The 3 Earth warriors fight Ginyu in Goku's body. Chi Chi kicks off her sandals beforhand. Vegeta confronts Jeice. The 2 battle. And After boasting that he is close to becoming a Super Saiyan, Vegeta kills Jeice.
After killing Jeice, Vegeta sets his sights on Ginyu (still in Goku's body).
Vegeta effortlessly pummels Ginyu, and an attempt by Ginyu to switch into Vegeta's body is thwarted by Goku who intercepts the beam, sending Ginyu and Goku back to their respective original bodies.
Ginyu tries again to switch with Vegeta, but Goku, although wounded by Krillin, Chi Chi, and Gohan attacking his body when it was taken over by Ginyu, throws a Namekian frog in the path, resulting in Ginyu switching into the frog's body.
